One of my dream as a child was to work for Disney. I always wanted to work for them and do animation. At Nearly Normal I managed to realise this dream as we designed and produced a handcrafted land of fairy tales to help Disney Jr launch their Get a Book Give a Book campaign with the goal to donate up to a million books to U.S communities in need.

This stop-motion animation is filled with adventures and dreams, showing the viewer how giving and getting a book can create unforgettable memories and open up possibilities for the future.

I initially took part at first phase of the project where I manage to sketch some of the character which were then defined and stylised by Clayton Junior. I was in charge of the layout and lettering of the main book plus, as I really love get my ‘hands dirty’, I built the castle, part of the set and in particular the sharks, the river monster and few bits here and there on the baloon. Dreams really do come true! :)
